Review on effect of dumpsite leachate to the environmental and public health implication

Over the years, there has been an increase in rate of environmental pollution due to improper disposal and management dumpsite waste. Leachate being generated as a result moisture associated within dumpsite, amount contain various microbial pathogens hazardous substance like cyanides, heavy metals other chemicals acquired from dumpsite. This can serve risk factor environment public health when is leachate migration. The migration into potentially results contamination soil, food products, animals, ground water, surface water air environment’ which turn affect human especially those who consumes contaminated inhabits around vulnerable like; young children, waste workers immunocompromised persons. In Nigeria, though are municipal dumpsites across nation, these sites below standard not properly managed. Being great concern society, need for proper design reconstruction well-engineered landfill cannot be over emphasized, among others. paper will therefore review implication so create more awareness on Nigeria.
